Full Vehicle Specification
Here at Waterfront Cars we are excited to announce the arrival of this stunning TVR Cerbera in TVR Purple Paradise metallic paint. The car has covered 51,000 miles and has massive file full of old paperwork and receipts for servicing including the obligatory comprehensive TVR factory engine re-build in 2003 at 26,500 miles. The engine continues to perform well and is totally oil tight.
The TVR Purple Paradise paint is in great condition with minimal stone chips due to the use of film protection on the front quarters. The interior was factory specified with full hide in purple/anthracite with lilac stitching and Wilton carpets. Regular cleaning and hide food has ensured that the leather interior has remained in excellent condition.
Servicing by TVR Centre, Henley Heritige, Green-Star Racing Blackpool, & HHC has ensured the car has remained in excellent mechanical health.
17 inch RL7 wheels with Continental Tyres, all good tread. A new AP racing clutch assembly & up-rated slave cylinder was fitted by HHC in 2011. So the clutch remains in perfect condition with a comfortable bite point & light action / smooth drive take up.
The condition of the chassic is the outstanding aspect of this car as a previous owner persuaded the TVR factory to replace the whole chassis and suspension in October 2005 having been unprepared to accept any sort of rework or welding following the detection of corrosion earlier that year. As the in house TVR service department had ceased to exist by that point, the car went back down the main production line for the work and consequently a chassis complete with all new suspension was used rather than swapping parts from the original. This will therefore have been one of the very last Cerbera chassis to have been made by TVR & it remains in exceptionally good condition having been fully Waaxoyled protected from new. The original TVR invoice for £8000 for all this work is included in the history file.
Stainless steel / rubber guards have been fitted to the front of the outriggers to further protect them from stone chips / road debris & this plus the regular cleaning / Waxoyle top-up treatments at each service have maintained the super condition.
The car has not been modified in any way and retains the original TVR specification. A 1.5 kW Bosche starter motor was fitted at the service in 2013 to give an un-labored cranking prior to starting.
Heated front screen and rear screens plus air-conditioning are fitted and the air-con was re-gassed last year. Due to the low mileage covered the last few services have just been filters and fluids (Mobil 1 engine oil) plus brake fluid and precautionary replacement of the engine bay fuel hoses for peace of mind. Only other recent works have been to replace the speedo sender with a more reliable higher output unit, clean and top up of Waxoyle on the chassis / wishbones (original powder coating still looking great) and new hand brake shoes.
Full stainless ACT sports exhausts that crackles and pops nicely on the over-run without being too intrusive on the motorway. The car has a full history file with all receipts and MOT's plus the TVR owners manual and the two alarm remotes. It also has the original TVR child seat trimmed in matching purple hide. An absolutely stunning car.
